Terms of Service
Last updated: February 20, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the DataDirector application (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2. Description of Service
DataDirector is an AI-powered data assistant for political campaigns. The Service enables users to query voter registration data through natural language, generating counts, tables, charts, cross-tabulations, and CSV exports. The Service provides read-only access to publicly available voter data and does not modify any underlying records.
3. User Accounts
Certain features of the Service require account registration. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
Registration may require a valid registration key. You may not share, transfer, or sell your registration key or account access to any other person.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use voter data obtained through the Service for purposes prohibited by applicable law, including voter intimidation, harassment, or discrimination
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or authentication mechanisms
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or AI models used by the Service
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit data obtained through the Service without authorization
- Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair its operation
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these usage policies, with or without notice.
5. Voter Data and Accuracy
The voter data accessible through the Service is sourced from publicly available state voter registration files. While we take reasonable steps to ensure data accuracy and currency:
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of voter data
- AI-generated query interpretations may contain errors — the Service confirms intent before executing queries to minimize this risk
- You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any data before relying on it for campaign decisions
The Service provides data for informational purposes. It is not a substitute for professional data analysis where critical decisions depend on absolute accuracy.
6. Rate Limits and Access Tiers
The Service enforces usage limits to ensure fair access. Guest accounts are limited to 40 messages per day. Registered accounts are limited to 100 messages per day. We reserve the right to modify these limits at any time. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary suspension of access.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, AI models, branding, and documentation, is owned by DataDirector and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our written permission.
Query results and data exports generated through the Service are derived from publicly available voter data. Your use of such outputs is subject to applicable state laws governing voter data usage.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated query interpretations will be perfectly accurate.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DataDirector shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service. In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing the Service during the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DataDirector, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination:
- Your right to access and use the Service will cease immediately
- We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including limitation of liability, indemnification, and intellectual property) will remain in effect
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
